As we get older our metabolism naturally slows down. We don’t recover as fast we carry more stress and our bodies aren’t as forgiving as they were in our 20s

The two biggest issues I see again and again:

Not eating enough protein
 Consuming more alcohol (and hidden weekend calories) than you realise

Even if you’re smashing your sessions poor nutrition habits can keep your body in a state where fat loss just stalls – especially around your belly love handles and lower back.

So What Actually Works?

Here’s what I recommend to every one of my coaching clients who wants to drop belly fat and feel leaner stronger and more energised:

 1. Increase Your Protein Intake

Protein isn’t just for bodybuilders. It helps keep you full supports recovery and boosts your metabolism – all key when you’re trying to shift stubborn fat. Most men I work with are massively under-eating protein without even realising

2. Structure Your Meals Properly

Skipping breakfast winging your meals and eating whatever’s handy at 3pm isn’t going to cut it. You need consistent meals spaced throughout the day that hit your calorie and protein targets – especially if you’re training hard

 3. Be Smart With Weekends

This one’s huge!

One big night out or a weekend of takeaways can undo an entire week of clean eating. You don’t have to be perfect but you do need a plan
Know your triggers. Stay aware. Make better choices more often
