“I’ve spent years in other gyms with very mixed results never achieving what I wanted, despite working hard and putting in the effort.
At Templetown Strength & Conditioning, with weight and resistance training, good form with great instruction, and a friendly training environment it has finally started to make the difference I have always been searching for. Over the course of a year I have lost almost 40lbs, a massive 11 inches of my waist, and dropped my body fat percentage out of the obese category and well into the average category. That means a lot to me, I’ve never been an average size anything in my life.
Shopping for clothes has gone from being a nightmare to a somewhat new experience. I have gone from a size 18/XL to a size 14/M and I’m still finding it surprisingly weird to take the new smaller size into the changing room to discover it fits!
People and family who haven’t seen me in a while certainly have noticed the difference, and the compliments are nice, but I’m doing this for me, so I don’t mind if nobody notices. At 48, I’m focusing more on feeling strong and fit for now and for the future, than fitting into a dress for a one-off occasion or hitting a number on the scale.

The past few months have been very enjoyable training with Paul. His sessions are always changed up and I always walk out with a smile on my face feeling delighted with myself.
I used to go to the gym but would spend half the time thinking about what to do and not putting in my full effort. The food aspect has always been my big problem when it comes to losing weight. Paul’s plan allows you to eat food you enjoy which makes such a difference and also give yourself the odd treat!
I teach Pilates also. Pilates on its own is not ideal for weight loss but combined with the personal training sessions I found it brilliant for myself.
The progress is slow but sustainable which is most important! I have struggled on and off with weight in the past but I really feel like this is perfect for me and it will work!
Paul is always so encouraging and positive during the class and never says a harsh word (minus the sarcastic comments🙈haha) He is really good at making sure you are using the correct technique for every exercise. He pushes you but never beyond what your unable for.
I would highly recommend classes with Paul, if not for his incredible knowledge but his very reasonable prices! I can’t wait to continue my progress and training with Paul.
My life has been transformed in every positive way from October since I started with Paul.
For the last few years I had gotten into a routine of slumping around the house, eating when I wasn’t even hungry and not being very active at all, resulting in that I was always down in myself, having a very negative mindset and I could barely look at myself in a mirror or picture. I put on 3 1/5 stone in 3 years. Before I had put on that weight I was very comfortable in my body, a positive person and it all disappeared until October when I start going to Paul and my confidence start rising again. From the first session with Paul I was coming out in better form than when I went in. Ofcourse it was hard at the start between the muscle pain and getting into a routine but I am now glad that I stuck by and kept going to Paul. I am much more positive and happy in my own skin and most importantly don’t dread trying on new clothes! ☺
I never enjoyed my weight loss journeys but I must say this time round I enjoy every minute, Paul’s nutritional plan is excellent, he allows you enjoy the foods you most love in moderation along with giving you tips on what foods are best for better results.
I look forward to my training every week and I can thank Paul for that with his excellent support throughout our sessions and throughout my journey.
I am looking forward to the rest of my fitness goals in the future as I know I will succeed when I’m attending Paul’s classes.

Before Christmas l won a 12 week Personal Trainer. First thought was that l didn’t want to do it and l would give it to someone else. The reason being was that l have MS. Then l said why not try after l thought more. Paul was so understanding and we done things slowly. l ended up loving it. My main goal was to tone up. We set up a sustainable eating plan that l could still be following for the years ahead. l want to feel good in my body. lt is a battle with MS. l try and not let it win me and sometimes it does and sometimes not.. My progress is slow but Sustainable and not a race. l will get there. I would recommend Paul to anyone. He always makes sure l am doing the exercises correctly. l feel really comfortable now going and never want to stop. I have continued training with Paul after my 12 Week prize. Reasonable not over the top. lt keeps my Mental Health right exercising thats another major factor for me.. Next time you see me l’ll have shrunk even more. lol 😂
I started training with Paul back in October 2017. Before that I always tried to keep fit but my diet and my determination never helped me in the way that I wanted. But by working with Paul helped change that. He determined the best training regime, which would help me with lose weight and build muscle. Also the fact that I work nights means that I am getting Paul out of bed at 5am for a workout on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, before I even get to bed myself. I am really enjoying the training and I notice with each passing week that I have more energy, which is great when running around after my 4 year old daughter. My goals are to keep training and to keep the weight down and eventually my stomach will hopefully disappear. I would recommend Paul to anyone who feels they need the help with weight loss and/or one to one training.
