Official TRYKA Coaching at Templetown: Our New 8-Week Hybrid Programme

Over the weekend, I completed the TRYKA workshop and am now officially a certified TRYKA coach! 🎉

If you train at Templetown S&C, you know we already love hybrid work. SkiErgs, rowers, bikes, sleds and carries. But I’ve been looking for a way to bring more structure, more standards and more progression to that side of the gym.

That is where TRYKA comes in.

Starting in January, we are running a full 8-week TRYKA block, three 45-minute classes per week, designed to build your engine properly and give you confidence with conditioning instead of fear or overwhelm.

🤔 Who Is This For?

This programme is for people who are not new to training, but who are new to structured conditioning.

You might know your way around a barbell, you might be comfortable in Small Group PT, but as soon as you step on a SkiErg or a rower you feel lost. You want to get fitter, but you don’t want a bootcamp where you’re shouted at to go faster.
TRYKA gives you coached pacing, coached standards and a system that progresses naturally.

🎯 How The 8 Weeks Work

We are keeping this simple, progressive and premium. No guesswork.
👉🏻 Phase 1: Foundation (Weeks 1–2)
Movement quality and pacing.
You learn how to Ski, row, bike and use the RAMs properly without blowing your back up.
Intensity stays moderate so you build confidence.
🤝🏻 Phase 2: Build (Weeks 3–4)
Volume increases and intensity starts to climb.
Longer intervals, clearer work/rest blocks and slightly heavier RAM options if you are ready.
🔥 Phase 3: Load, Speed and Endurance (Weeks 5–6)
This is where it starts to feel like “real” TRYKA.
Longer efforts on the machines, faster transitions and more challenging RAM sets. The goal is to push without losing form.
💪🏻 Phase 4: Performance (Weeks 7–8)
We test the qualities you’ve built:

Short performance tests, pacing work and a full TRYKA-style simulation in the final week. This isn’t about competing with others, it’s about measuring your own progress.

Suitable For All Levels?

Yes, but with structure.
“All levels welcome” doesn’t mean “sink or swim”.
We have movement standards, clear regressions and RAM loads that suit everyone.
But you will get the most out of this if you’ve trained before.
If you are brand new to the gym entirely, a basic PT option might suit better.

January Intake & Capacity

To maintain coaching quality, class sizes are strictly limited to 10–12 people.
This ensures you get actual coaching, cues and proper attention.

âś… How To Secure A Spot

Send me a message with “TRYKA”, or reply to the email if you came here from the newsletter.
I will send you the timetable, price and booking details.
Spots are capped at 10–12 to coach this properly. Once it’s full, it’s full!
January is the ideal time to build something sustainable rather than chase short-term resolutions. TRYKA gives us the system to do exactly that.
See you on the floor
